CLUB CONSTITUTION

1.       Club Name:    SOLIHULL SCORPIONS F.C.

2.       Objects:      The object of the Club is to arrange association football matches and social activities for it members. The enjoyment of football is paramount.

3.       Status of Rules:   The Scorpion Club Rules are as in our Constitution and within the Scorpion Code of Conduct form being a binding agreement between each member or the Club.

4.       Rules and Regulations:

(a) The Club shall have the status of an Affiliated Member Club of the Football Association by virtue of its affiliation to the Birmingham County Football Association.  The Rules and Regulations of the Football Association Limited and Birmingham County Football Association and the Central Warwickshire League or Competition to which the Club is affiliated to for the time being shall be deemed to be incorporated into the Club Rules.

(b) No alteration to the Club Rules shall be effective without prior written approval by the Birmingham County Football Association.

(c ) The Club will also abide by the Football Association’s Child protection Policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy.

5.       Club Membership/Committee

The members of the Club from time to time shall be those persons listed in our Register of Members which shall be maintained by the Club Secretary.

(a) Club Membership at present comprises of our

Club Secretary: Mrs Lorraine Hay

Chairman: Mr Ian Cunniam

Manager/Coach:  Child Protection Officer Mr Peter Hay

Club Treasurer:  Mr Vince Bayliss

Parent Representative: Mr Nick Wilkes

All Committee members have a child in the Scorpion team.

(b) Any person who wishes to apply to be a member must give their application to a member of the Committee and it will be at the sole decision of the Club Committee of his or her election into the membership of the register.

(c )  In the event of a member’s resignation or expulsion his or her name will be removed from the membership register.

(d) The Club Committee shall hold office from the start of the season until the Annual general Meeting at the end of each seasons year or until they decide to stand down whereupon elected members will take over the designated office.

6.       ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

An annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held each year.

We will receive a report of the activities of the Scorpion Club over the previous year. Receive a Report of Finances and Support over the previous year Elect any other members to the club

Consider any other business

Nominations for election of new members and existing members of the Committee shall be made and 2 nominations by existing members may propose his/her entry into the Committee.

7.       CLUB FINANCES

The Club finances will be maintained and supported by Mr Vince Bayliss Club Treasurer) under the Birmingham F A and Central Warwick League financial guidelines. Request for kit and equipment and ongoing expenses will be met by the Club Finances, decided by the Committee and agreed by all members.

 Mrs Lorraine Hay and Mr Vince Bayliss shall be the only 2 people who are the designated signatories responsible for cheque writing. All monies payable to the Club shall be received by the Treasurer and deposited in the Club Account.  The Committee members will oversee statement of accounts at regular meetings monthly meetings.

The Club shall prepare an annual financial statement which can be provided to the Football Association when and if they so wish to see it.

8.       Dissolution -The resolution to dissolve the Club shall only be proposed at a Committee Meeting.  The Club Committee shall be responsible for the winding up of the assets and liabilities of the Club.

Anti-Discrimination and Equal Opportunities Policy

The Scorpion Football Club will abide by the Football Association Child Protection Policy Procedure, Code of Conduct Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy.

Football is opposed to discrimination of any form and will promote measures to prevent it in whatever form from being expressed.  Football belongs and should be enjoyed by everyone equally.  Our commitment is to eliminate discrimination whether by reason of gender race, nationality, ethnics, origin, colour or ability and to encourage equal opportunities.

The Committee will Adhere to the F. A rules and regulations in relation to safety and will respect the Goal Post safety measures at each training and match day fixture.
